One of my favorite times when Laurie was a flight attendant was when she would come home from a trip where she stayed at a Doubletree Hotel.  Why?  Because of the totally awesome cookies you get there.  Love those cookies.

If you never had one, here’s your chance to get one for free.  Doubletree Hotels are offering a free cookie giveaway on the Fourth of July!  This is for the US only.  Just visit any of the hotel’s U.S. properties on the Fourth of July and you’ll receive a complimentary chocolate chip cookie.  BTW, the company did the same thing in Canada on Tuesday (Canada Day).  

After giving it some thought, I think some things I’ll be adding to the blog is news and contests on junkfood that I find.  Plus, sometimes people leave me comments and ask specific questions about a particular candy bar or something that I can’t answer.  I’m thinking that it might be better to put such questions in the blog since people can respond with comments.  I think it would be easier to get answers rather than just having me post the question in the Comments section of the web site. Although I think I would put questions like that both here and in the comments section.

OK, I think I’m done fiddling with the blog for now and am ready to create links to it.  I don’t know how often I’ll leave a post, but check back when you can.  Maybe they’ll be something there.  Oh, and for now, I have it set so any comments left won’t be posted until I view them.  Maybe eventually I’ll change that, but I don’t want people to leave stupid comments.  But don’t let that stop you from leaving me a comment!  I’ll try to check them at least once every other day.

As far as the podcast goes, I need to read up more on that before I start one.  Just think it would be neat to do.  We’ll see.

I think I’ll try to add some candy news and things like that.  Who knows.
