This story is a little weird. So just to make sure I get all the details right, I’m just going to provide a link to the story from the Naples Daily News in Florida. Click here for the story.
Candy makes you feel better. It can even make the troops in Iraq feel better. I don’t want to talk politics, etc, but no matter how I feel about the war, I support the troops. To me, they’re kinda stuck in the middle.
Anyway, a church in Texas (Abilene, I think) started a candy drive when one of the troops asked for some candy for his office be sent over. His wife put the request in the church newsletter and before you know it, some 2,100 pounds of candy found itself being shipped to Iraq. It was a little difficult and expensive to get the candy over there, but with the help of the Air Force, it finally made it. Good job.
Mars has some new products coming that you might want to keep an eye out for. I’m not a huge Skittles fan, but if you are, you can look forward to Skittles Crazy Cores. (more…)
