I ran across some news on Mars and some contests they’re planning and was going to do a post on each one. But I guess I can just combine them all into one long post. The contests include a Valentine’s Day promotion with your chance to win a trip to Paris, and, with the Super Bowl coming up, another contest where you can win tickets to next year’s big game.

I will admit I find Ms. Green (the green M&M) a little sexy. I think it’s the white go-go boots. Anyway, she’s going to be all over the place as Mars introduces the “Ms. Green Heats Up Valentine’s Day Contest”. Go to the contest web site and write in 150 words or less why you need Ms. Green’s help to put love back in your hearts. Fill out the information online and the winner gets a trip for two to Paris, including airfare, hotel, and $1,500. (Personally, I hate contests like this…where not everybody has an equal, random chance.)

Check out the web site for other Ms. Green information and the green M&M’s story, along with other things. And look for packages of all green M&M’s, in both 14-ounce packages and single 1.5-ounce packs for Valentine’s Day. Oh, and there will also be an ad in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition featuring Ms. Green “baring it all.” That issue hits newsstands Feb. 10. Can’t wait for that…as long as she keeps the boots on!

Although the Eagles didn’t make it, I’m still looking forward to the Super Bowl. And Mars is going to send one lucky person (and THREE of their guests) to next year’s Super Bowl. It’s the “Celebrate On the Field” contest with one winner getting a five-day trip for four to Miami, FL to Super Bowl XLIV, tickets to the EA Sports Super Bowl XLIV Party, hotel accommodations and $2,000 in spending money. Two first-prize winners will receive a trip to the 2010 Pro Bowl and $500 in spending money. And one last Mars story. Maybe too late for this year’s Super Bowl, but you can order My Team M&Ms NFL Blends candies, featuring customized team logos of all 32 NFL teams. They’re pricy…$12.99 per bag or $140 for a five-pound bag. I wanted to get the Phillies World Series M&M’s, but couldn’t see spending that much money.
