Blog Version of a Clip Show

Just random thoughts that wouldn’t make up a whole posting.  So, it’s kinda like a clip show where the writers don’t have to write a whole show.  Just some quick lines and then pack the show with clips of past shows.  Although there won’t be clips of past postings here.  OK, now I’m just writing anything to make it look like a full post. Peeps Get Their Own Store

I am not a fan, but I know some people go crazy over Peeps, those marshmallow Easter chicks and bunnies (and now, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and on and on).  And if you’re one of those peeps, er, people who love them, you’ll be happy to learn that they will have their own store in November, in Maryland. New Kind Of Raisinets

I can take or leave Raisinets, the chocolate covered raisins from Nestle. They’re OK. The problem is the raisins. They make me, well, go. I do like the taste of them, but pretty much have to eat them within 15 feet of a bathroom…just in case. The same with Goobers because of the peanuts, but it’s not as immediate. But I like Goobers a lot more. Perhaps I have shared too much. (more…)

It Really Is A Limit Of Four

Every Friday, I have a reminder on my Outlook calendar at work set for 9AM to remind me to get my free chocolate from the Mars Real Chocolate Relief Act, which I first blogged about here. According to the rules, you can only get up to four coupons during the giveaway period which ends 9/25. But I thought maybe that was just there to try to limit people and maybe I’ll still get a free coupon if I keep trying. (more…)

Hershey Shutting Down Its Online Store

Don’t go to the Hershey web site if you’re looking to get some chocolatey gifts. Hershey says it will closing its catalog and web business at the end of the month. There is some good news…they are having a 25% off closeout sale. Because of this, I will have to check it out…but I probably won’t buy anything. (more…)
