The Godiva of the Middle East

The Godiva of the Middle East is what Martin Van Almsick wants Dubai’s Al Nassma, the world’s first brand of chocolate made with camels’ milk, to become.  Right now, they’re in talks to expand into Europe, Japan and the United States in the next couple of months, and hope to have an online presence sooner than that.  Currently, they’re available in Dubai, in luxury hotels, and private airlines.

But don’t hope to find this at your local Wal Mart.  Van Almsick said it’s a luxury product, so no supermarkets and the like.  Their chocolates are made with no preservatives or chemical additives, and have a range of locally popular spices, nuts and honey.  According to the company, camels’ milk is seen as healthier than cows’ milk, containing five times more vitamin C, less fat, less lactose and more insulin, making it a good option for diabetics and the lactose intolerant.

Depending on the price, I’d try it.  I heard it doesn’t taste that mush different than ‘regular’ chocolate.  I think it’s the camel’s milk angle that will get snooty people to buy it.  “Oh, you eat Cadbury chocolate?  Once I had camel’s milk chocolate, I can’t eat anything but.  It’s expensive, but I’m worth it”, as I turn my nose up on the common chocolate eating people.  We’ll soon hear stories of a bratty pop star who demands nothing but camel’s milk chocolate or something.

Hi Mike, it does not need a pop star demanding only camel milk chocolate. The experience we are making is that everybody from normal chocolate enthusiasts to 5star Hotel Executive Chefs can tell that Al nassma is simply a great new chocolate. If one has pretty good developed taste-buds you can detect the minerally aspect of the camel milk and the real vanilla from Madagascar.
    Enjoy,
    kind regards from Dubai,
    Martin

Mr. van Almsick…please don’t take my comments as meaning your chocolate wouldn’t be available nor worthy of us common folk. I’d love to try it. Perhaps on a free sample basis or something. Anyway, it was an attempt at a joke along the lines of stars getting pampered because they only drink a certain bottled water or only blueberries that are all the same size.

Anyway, great web site. Well done and good luck! I’ll be looking for your product.
