Bits and Pieces
* First off…an apology. I’ve been neglecting my web site responsibilities. I haven’t updated the Candy Comments since the beginning of September. And I haven’t added any new wrappers to the wrapper page since early August. And I’m not blogging as much because I just don’t feel like writing. I’ll try to do better.
* I’m posting this story because I always get a kick out of them. A man in Dayton, Ohio, was arrested and is facing shoplifting charges after stuffing eight Milky Way candy bars and five Hershey bars down his pants and then trying to walk out of the store.
* Don’t mess with the Peeps people. Just Born, who makes those marshmallow chicks and other animals and shapes (I saw the Peeps ghosts for Halloween this weekend), is suing a greeting card maker for trademark infringement for using Peeps likeness without authorization on some greeting cards. One card has two live chicks looking at what looks like a Peep and one of them is saying “”She’s had waaaay too much Botox.” Eh, not a very good joke in my book. Another card says “Happy Easter from me and my peeps.” OK, that’s better only because I jokingly use the word peeps around my GF.
