Winner Gets Over Two Thousand Pieces of Chocolate

What would you do if you were 11 years old and won some 2,200 pieces of chocolate? Well, that’s what happened to a girl in Scotland. She won a contest by guessing how many pieces of chocolate were left in a candy store that had shut down. Her guess was 2,201 and the actual number was 2,207. Wow. Pretty close! More than 900 people took a shot at the prize, which ran over a three-week period.

The chocolate comes in 22 huge crates and includes a nice mix with traditional milk, dark and white truffles plus some more unusual flavors like champagne, strawberry and pepper, and lavender cream. There were also a number of liqueur chocolates which Mom said she would handle. The winner said she’s going to share her prize with her twin sister and sell some at a school fair to raise money for charity.

On a side note…since I’m not sure how long it will be before I update the Wrapper Page, thought I’d quickly mention that I had the Pretzel M&M’s last night. Laurie said she was going to Target and asked if I wanted anything. Pretzel M&M’s and Dark Chocolate Kit Kats was my answer. And she found them both!

I tried the Pretzel M&M’s and liked them a lot. Pretty sweet, but I really didn’t get the feeling I was eating chocolate covered pretzels. Maybe because of the candy shell. But I did like them a lot. It has the sweet/salty thing going, which is always good. Laurie loves chocolate covered pretzels and she was a little disappointed that they didn’t have more of a chocolate covered pretzel taste. I will be getting them again, especially since a whole bag was only 3 Weight Watcher points.

Yes, I’m doing Weight Watchers and have lost over 25 pounds since March. Eating a lot less chocolate, but still get to enjoy chocolate as long as I can fit it in. And 3 points for a bag of M&M’s is pretty darn good. Oh, and Weight Watchers is not paying me!
