Haven’t done one of these in a while. Time to post a question from someone who sent in a comment to see if anybody can help. Although this one is more of a ‘remember when’ rather than a why or who type question. Read the rest of this entry »

Every year I say I want to attend the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, and every year I forget. Not just anybody can go, so I don’t even know if I would qualify. But I forget to dig into it and then it comes and goes (it ended May 27th). All I can do is read the news stories and post (OK, re-post, really) the things I hear. Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t play the lottery much. We have a pool at work that plays the PowerBall when the jackpot approaches $200 million. And the same with the Mega Millions now that it’s available here in PA. And I occasionally buy some tickets on my own when the jackpot is up there (I have 5 tickets for tonight’s drawing…I don’t see how I can lose). I do buy scratch off tickets for Laurie every now and then. She likes them for fun. I think the most we won was maybe $5. But they can be fun. Read the rest of this entry »

Hershey is suing again. You may remember I spoke about them suing over someone making a Champagne Kiss. Now they’re suing Williams and Sonoma over a brownie pan. While I was going back and forth on who I supported in that case, I might be with Hershey this time. Read the rest of this entry »

What would you do if you were 11 years old and won some 2,200 pieces of chocolate? Well, that’s what happened to a girl in Scotland. She won a contest by guessing how many pieces of chocolate were left in a candy store that had shut down. Her guess was 2,201 and the actual number was 2,207. Wow. Pretty close! More than 900 people took a shot at the prize, which ran over a three-week period. Read the rest of this entry »

Where does the time go? Can’t believe it’s been months since I posted…both here on the blog and doing updates. Why haven’t I been posting? Just been busy. Work is really busy and to be honest, I used to do more personal stuff at work which left me more time for the web site. And I would even work on the web site at work every once in a while too. But since work is so busy, I have less time for personal stuff now. Read the rest of this entry »

The Super Bowl is this Sunday and if you’re like me, you look forward to the commercials. One reason why I started the web site was because I’m interested in how companies get us to buy their products through packaging. Advertising also interests me. And one candy company is hoping this year’s Super Bowl ad goes over more smoothly than their one from three years ago. Read the rest of this entry »

I finally updated the comments page today. It’s been almost two months. Longer for the wrappers page, but honestly, I don’t have too many new wrappers to add. You can check out the Coming Soon page to see what’s coming, but I honestly don’t know when I’ll be posting them.

Every once in a while, you hear about somebody finding something in their food that isn’t supposed to be there. You know…a finger, a snake head, a nail. And I always wonder if these stories end up being true or not. Well, we got another one to wonder about. Read the rest of this entry »
